ICYMI Taco Bell is arriving in Melbourne with our very first restaurant and new home on Chapel Street, South Yarra. Doors officially opening at 10am on Saturday 7th December.
We have an epic day-long opening party planned to celebrate our long awaited arrival in Melbourne featuring limited-edition merch, games, giveaways and one lucky fan will walk away with free Taco Bell for an entire year^!
In addition to our flavour-packed opening day celebrations, to mark our long awaited arrival in Melbourne, we wanted to do something to celebrate the city and what better way than having the iconic Chapel Street trams take you on a Taco Bell journey like no other.
So we introduce to you… the WORLD’S FIRST TRAM-THRU brought to you by Taco Bell!
This Friday 6th December, we’ll be giving Melburnians the chance to embark on a journey like no other and be amongst the first to sample a selection of our craveable menu items, ahead of our official opening on Saturday 7th December!
Taco Bell fans can board the Taco Bell Tram-Thru by heading down to Stop #51 on Route 78 (Malcolm Street & Chapel Street) between 12pm – 3pm where we’ll take your order* as you board the tram. Your food will be freshly and lovingly prepared by the team as you make your way down Chapel Street and will be delivered to you in transit as the tram passes Taco Bell at stop #47.
So what will you get to devour as you travel on the world’s first tram-thru? Well, we’ve bundled up the fan favourites into a set menu^ to give you a taste of what’s to come when we open on Saturday with our full menu!
Firstly, the Crunchwrap Supreme which is as iconic to Taco Bell as trams are to Melbourne. It’s all the flavours of Taco Bell wrapped up into a one-handed feed, allowing you to Live Más. On the side are our tortilla chips which are cooked fresh throughout the day and seasoned with delicious Mexican spices… Good luck stopping at just one, especially when you’ve got our Nacho Cheese Sauce to dip it into! Finally dessert, yes Taco Bell has a sweet tooth too and we’ll satisfy your cravings with our cinnamon coated Churros and chocolate dipping sauce!
Trams run approximately every 11 minutes between 12pm – 3pm, so you can make your way down to Stop #51 at any point during this time, but unfortunately due to capacity, spaces will be limited on each tram.
